Job Description:
Creative Kitchen & Bath, a division of Masters' Supply, Inc., is seeking someonewho excels in collaborative work environments and possesses exceptional customer service skills; who is detail-oriented and and willing to learn new skills. As a Kitchen & Bath Designer, you will play a pivotal role in increases sales, market share, company profitability and customer satisfaction by working directly with the public to design kitchens, baths, and recreational areas. Our designers provide expert product knowledge, assist with selection, expedite orders from vendors, and conduct customer visits as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Sales Ability / Persuasiveness
- Educate consumers on the processes of project management and the supply chain.
- Qualify customers based on their project size, budget, and taste.
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills to successfully influence and communicate with various audience types and sizes.
- Build relationships through networking with various industry professionals and customer contacts.
- Integrate channel partners into sales opportunities effectively.
- Show leadership in regional channel associations.
- Understand and demonstrate basic analytic skills and their application to customers' requirements.
- Learn and demonstrate the stages of the selling process.
- Articulate the organization’s value proposition clearly.
- Incorporate the selling process into proposal writing and pricing models to meet company expectations.
- Educate customers on how to differentiate from competitors.
Customer Focus
- Recognize different consumer types and adjust approach with each for optimal results.
- Establish "trusted advisor" status to act as a liaison between showroom clients and installation contractors, serving as a resource for all parties involved in the project.
- Enhance internal and customer interactions by understanding their needs and adding value.
- Plan for upcoming customer meetings with a defined time management process.
- Demonstrate active listening skills to add value to consumer and internal interactions.
Managing Work
- Skillful in managing multiple priorities and capable of swift adjustments based on competing consumer demands.
- Acquire and demonstrate effective time management practices, including planning and scheduling daily, monthly, and annual activities and priorities.
- Develop and demonstrate the ability to organize both electronic and paper-based information efficiently.

- Learn and respect the internal chain of command.
- Expand the immediate problem-resolution network to include additional internal contacts and utilize them to accomplish tasks effectively.

- Enhance the professional image of the showroom by ensuring displays are clean and in working order, and pricing is kept up to date.

- Understand the basics of the construction process and identify when various showroom products fit within the construction cycle.
- Learn and demonstrate competence in the features and functionality of all product lines, as well as their applications.
- Add value to consumer and internal interactions by understanding the market, customers, suppliers, and competitors.
- Understand the nuances of competitor product offerings, their target audience, and the strategies they use to reach that audience.
- Convey accurate messages, ideas, and decisions through clear verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrate proficiency with related computer systems and applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, etc.).
- Understand the organization's profit model and make sound decisions and recommendations to maximize profit.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in interior design or a related field is required for this position.
