Use caution when soldering whenever possible, solder with CPVC socket facing downward, if CPVC joint is above solder joint, plug temporarily with nipple and cap to prevent chimney effect, always apply torch to female fitting, not to the adapter, perform all solder joints a minimum of 10 in from 1/2 in and 3/4 in CPVC sockets, 18 in from 1 in and 1-1/4 in CPVC sockets, 20 in from 1-1/2 in CPVC socket, 22 in from 2 in CPVC socket, use a commercial heat blocking agent between solder joint and CPVC joint
